Who We Are

​

We are Tony and Teresa Higgins, a husband-and-wife team based in Caravaca de la Cruz in the northwest of Murcia. Since moving here in 2006, we have embraced the Spanish way of life (Tony now holds Spanish nationality) and have built deep relationships across the region’s wine, gastronomy and cultural communities.

We specialise in creating authentic wine and food experiences across Murcia, Castilla-La Mancha, Granada, Galicia and Piedmont (Italy).

What We See in Travellers Like You

Many of the people who travel with us have taken wine tours before and felt that something was missing. You taste the wines, you see the cellar, but you do not always feel truly connected to the region or to the people behind it.

You are looking for something deeper: real encounters, good conversations and an understanding of what makes each place unique.

That is the gap we exist to bridge.

Why We Do This

When we first settled in Murcia, we discovered a world of small producers, local traditions and regional stories that most visitors never experience. Over the years, we have seen how meaningful it can be for people to step beyond the tasting room and meet the winemakers, growers and chefs who shape each region.

Our work is built on a simple idea: travel should be personal, local and memorable, not generic.

Tony holds several wine qualifications, including:
• WSG Spanish Wine Scholar
• ICEX Spanish Wine Specialist
• WSG Sherry Specialist
• WSET Level 2

We remain actively involved in the Spanish wine world, continually learning and strengthening our understanding of each region in which we work.

We take the time to understand what our guests enjoy, whether it is wine, gastronomy, culture or a combination of all three, and we offer experiences that reflect those interests. Every tour is grounded in long-term relationships with producers who value sustainability, tradition and individuality.

Our approach is simple: good people, good places and good stories, shared well.
